to get defensively responsible players and save cap space. also noone needs Scandella but they are grasping at straw in edd so they would give him a shot.

That trade is horrendous. James Neal is bad. Swapping him for Okposo is an L for Buffalo. You are staying that if Hamonic doesn't resign, then we trade our 2nd best defensemen and Okposo for a worse cap dump a 2nd and 5th? Dream on, thank-goodness Jason Botts isn't you

#1 neal is better than okpo flat out. points are pretty much a scratch but health and physicality wise not even close.
#2 its Hamonic s last year on contract and he is prime age shutdown RHD, so would would fetch about same as muzzin at deadline(1st and top 10 team prospect)
#3 buffalo needs defensive D to play with Dahlin so he doesnt have as much restrictions on jumping into play
#4 still save the team 1m$ off cap
#5 change is needed in buffalo, moving players who arnt preforming in only natural
