Oof Bowey on the first pair. He couldn't even backskate when he was with the Caps

Montreal would take that trade and run, terrible trade for Winnipeg.

Bowey is a 7th D at best, not sure why you think he's worth playing as a first pairing D!?

Wings can wait for next year when everything is pointing that Trouba will be a UFA.

its for Laine's RFA rights only with no agreement to sign at time of trade , MTL still has to sign him still

hahahahahahahahahahaha

i think you go the definition of Sensible confused with Daft .
0% Chance MTL gives up their only #1 Center prospect since Koivu for anyone given Koivu was our last #1 C (it took us this long to get KK)

Same chance Winnipeg gives up their best scoring talent since Selanne.

you're not giving up if Laine Leaves on Offersheets and WPG cant give Laine the term and cap MTL can that's just common sense . . . .

any and i mean any WPG fan who gets the Business side of Hockey knows anything over 9.5m and there is slim chances WPG matches as they are cash strapped and would need to move a Byfluglien or Schiefle to re-sign Laine

we dont have this problem at all in any form which is why i can say 100% no chance he leaves even in KK wanted to leave on offer sheet's we'd match because we can.

If you are hoping GMMB puts in an offer sheet for Laine then have at it.

Offersheets were designed to punish teams for poaching RFA's in this exact situation. Thinking you will offer sheet any big name RFA's (Point, Marner, Laine) this offseason is just naive. The result is getting an albatross contract in return for your longterm future.

It’s to pair him with Morrissey again, not because he is their top pair dman.

Yeah MTL does that trade. 15th overall, Suzuki, Tatar is a high price, but MTL need superstar talent, and Laine fits that bill. Add the fact that he’d look great next to Kk. Habs jump on this deal.

Understandable, but then Habs refuse.

Terrible in which way for Winnipeg? For the short term, long term, which? They replenish a prospect pool that will become depleted the way they are going. They also get immediate short term help in Tatar, someone that can push the play and comes at a good cap number. The Jets have seriously been lacking the ability to generate offence throughout the lineup, this helps them and also allows them plenty of cap If they could sign someone such as Duchene as a result, even a further bonus. I mean, the trade won’t happen, but it wouldn’t be bad for the jets.

Your comment about Bowey is ignorant, he’s still young and showed his potential at the end of the season with the wings. I won’t argue that he is a top dman on any team, but he is on the top pair because that’s where Morrissey belongs.

sure guy whatever helps you sleep hahaha

a pure goal scorer is way harder to draft then a Center .
true elite centers are more valuable but the Points and Marner's your talking about have to much attention on them for our GM who's afraid of bidding wars .
Laine on the other hand is someone MTL could land easy enough as long as WPG chooses the four 1sts over Laine .(given how cap strapped they are long term they'll take the picks all day long )

Connor's emergency has made Laine someone they'd move IF a team is willing to over pay and surrender four 1st round picks to a team who's sacrificed years of them trying to win a Cup . the only people confused by this are Fantasy Hockey Fans who arent able to see past next game let alone next season
