Why does everyone think Ottawa wants to take on their expensive cap dump to offload an insured contract? MacArthur's contract is reported as 80% insured, so they save ~$1 mil there in exchange for taking on $20 mil in remaining salary. Melynk is a cheapo, no way he wants to do that.

Islanders would need to make some other moves to make this trade happen. Already with 7 dmen under contract for next year, Dobson and Wilde coming up with system.

I think if anything they would look for one of the center prospects for Bellows and the 1st.

I disagree vehemently with my two Islander colleagues. With the League's number 1 defense this past season, why in the world would we want to expend those assets on Rasmus Ristolainen?!?
