William Nylander. Gotta be pretty smart to get 7m for what he does.

Crosby #1, Bergeron #2, Barkov #3, O’Reilly #4, Stone #5.

Marner in the top 10.

Guys like McJesus, MacKinnon are #1 and #2 in terms of skill imo

Hockey IQ is an extremely loose term to begin with. It’s very subjective. I just determine it by how a player can use different strategies/play styles in different situations. Guys like McJesus we always say the same thing, his speed. He can still do complex moves at a high speed, which is still unreal. Hence why I say skill, but no doubt his “IQ” is high.

Guys like Crosby, Bergeron, etc. play are so unpredictable since they can do so many different things in any situation. Someone like McJesus can still blow past these guys with his speed. But imo he’s not as versatile.

Lol if you think Mcdavid ONLY uses his speed to beat defenders you’re clueless.

My god you people love resorting to insults. So childish.

I never said McJesus only uses his speed. But we always say the same thing, as in his “go to” move is to use his speed to create plays. Not to say he doesn’t do other things, but speed is his main move.
And btw, if anybody would ask whose the best player in the league I’d say McJesus.

But try telling me what Crosby main “go to” move is? His backhand? His deflections? His cross ice passes? Even for Crosby age he’s still super fast. Which falls back to my point, which you seem to have clearly missed.

I'm glad someone recognized ROR. He doesn't have the skill of some mentioned, but man does he always do good and correct things on the ice.

LOL that’s because Crosby doesn’t have the speed that Mcdavid does. Look at MacKinnon, for example. He dominated Calgary this series with his speed. Crosby has to resort to other plays because he doesn’t have that “go to” move. McDavid knows he’s faster than everyone else and uses that to his advantage, that doesn’t negate his high hockey IQ though ?

Sorry, McDavid is all speed. Doesn’t have much in his arsenault after that. Average IQ player. Truth hurts.
