Description
Options if bob don’t come back to Columbus

Option 1: sign mike smith

Smith struggled early and finished strong and played elite in playoffs where his team let him down, maybe a new story for him.

Option 2: try jake Allen

Allen is not needed anymore and maybe can play strong for the blue jackets if not it will be easy to get rid of him because blues agree to retain some salary.

Option 3: trade star defenseman for star
goalie

Maybe blue jackets feel like there defense is strong enough with werenski, Murray, and Savard and don’t need Seth Jones, perfect time to trade him for an elite goalie to a team that need a defenseman star and feels comfortable with the other goalie taking on the starting role. There were a few options you can do for this one, option 3.A: Chicago needs defense, maybe star goalie crow and draft picks for jones.reason for such high picks is yes crawford is still good but... 1 year left on his contract and gets injured a lot. Option 3.B: Jonathan quick, maybe he’ll start playing well who knows but if he does very good goalie grabbing there Option 3.C trade Jones for vancouvers starter not elite markstom but get there 10th overall pick to which is really good for the blue jackets.

Option 4: varlomov

Varlomov is a good goalie and close to star talent and a great player to sign IMO for the blue jackets

Option 5: Malcolm subban

Subban, young, talented, and don’t wanna be a backup and does have potential to be a starter, great target for Columbus.

Or the real option see what Korpisalo and Merzlikins can do before jumping to crazy ideas of trading the teams best player(once Panarin and bob leave)

Jones is worth way more then that and Werenski would be traded before Jones. Honestly this is very very very bad.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL - "Maybe blue jackets feel like there defense is strong enough with werenski, Murray, and Savard and don’t need Seth Jones, perfect time to trade him for an elite goalie" then proceeds to list Corey Crawford, Jonathan Quick, and Jacob Markstrom.. none of those are elite goalies. Their starters. Not elite.

VGK is interested in this deal. It's a major overpayment by the Blue Jackets. Depending on the conditions - a 1st would be great but, a 4th seems too low. Ideally 1st if he wins 25 games, 2nd if wins 20, 3rd if less than that.

Thanks for trying to solve CBJ goaltender problems. CBJ will not trade elite talent for goalie, especially Jones. Younger up and coming D man maybe.
Bob may decide to extend if playoff run compels him to, or they sign a UFA to buy time for Merzlikens.
Lehner, Smith, Varlamov, Kincaid, and even McIlhinney are all in play.

I feel like panarin might wanna come back too and I think they much rather sign there best player then there goalie so if bob wants to come back he may not have that option. Or do what Chicago did with panarin, give bob an extension, make him think he’s gonna play for blue jackets agian, and trade him out of no where for garbage players.... okay don’t do that don’t be Stan bowman... good f***ing job Chicago. I realized I got very off topic sorry but yeah bobrovsky probably won’t play for the blue jackets agian.
