I like it as an oilers fan. There’s not much they can do realistically this offseason and that would improve their wingers significantly compared to last year. Oilers aren’t gonna be buying anyone out so I’m glad to see you didn’t either.

It doesn’t make sense to buy anyone out. It might help this year, but it hurts the team in the long run.
Lucic is a Solid 4th liner, if you buy him out, you just use the saved cap room to fill that spot anyway. I’m not willing to package puljujarvi on any deal just to give away contracts, and get nothing in return.
You could get Lucic to waive his NMC before the expansion draft so he doesn’t count towards protected players, or give a pick to Seattle if they take him.
No point blowing up the team just yet.
Just add a few pieces that they need. Give some young guys an opportunity to push for a roster spot.

Ya oilers got some young guys having decent years in Bakersfield and jr. that could make the team next year.
