You made all these trades and all you really had to do was replace Babs with Keefe.

You improved the defense a little but the second Hamilton is pointless and the leafs lose that one

At this point, I can't imagine that $1.8M gets it done for Maroon - especially if the Blues make any kind of decent offer.

Minnesota and Carolina decline and laugh. Dumba is not going anywhere and Hamilton is not going to be traded for scraps.

This happy^ 1,000 times over.

The only thing that really burned me about last night was listening to Babcock in his post game meeting with the press. Namely..

*His willingness to subtly throw several players under the bus i.e. Andersen, Dermot etc
*His lack of willingness to own any responsibility for the outcome of the serie
*Running away from the press with his tail between his legs after being asked one question about his decision making..

Hmm. Tough conversations coming for Mike, methinks.

I was frustrated watching who he put out when they pulled Anderson.

They had Gardiner who played terrible since the warmup and Nylander who glides and floats more than he skates. Not to mention, the Zamboni puts in more effort going into the corners or coming back up the ice than Willy did.

The other frustration was watching the Leafs pass for 95% of the time and then take low percentage shots because they hemmed themselves in.

Yeah, there was lots to be frustrated about with the game/series - there always is. But it was his handling of the press that burned me. Can't be telling his players that they have to own their actions and be accountable and then not hold the same same standard to himself. I lost a fair bit of respect for the dude when he got up and walked away after facing the one and only question he got that looked for some clarity on his decision making. That's not great leadership, imo. And I'd say there's much, much more of that line of questioning coming over the next several days/weeks/months for him
