Middle 6 on a team as deep as the leafs. He’s too good to be on a 4th line and deserves better. He can play up and down any teams line. Never makes mistakes always makes the hard smart plays. Beats out icing, kills penalties, Causes a ruckus in front of the net. I don’t think anyone works harder than brown on the leafs maybe not even Hyman. Unfortunately he gets pushed down by depth. Really love to keep him but he deserves better than 4th line. And it’s not like we are going to put nylander in the 4th line.

Brown is the type of guy you throw on a 2nd and 3rd line and have him go to work. On the oilers I could see them putting him with McJesus.

Any team with Trevor Moore on the second line doesn't have a chance... and it'll make Matthew's wonder why he signed long term. Teams w/ 3 guys making $10M+ will have insufficient depth to compete. Oh, and Kapanen/Johnson are not signing 2 year deals for under $3M... looks at some comparable young 20 goal scorers, there all north of $3M. The Leafs are going to have to suck it up and realize they can't have it all and make some bold moves to utilize their cap better... one of the big 3 will need to go.

Moore is a great compliment to Matthews. I don’t see it being realistic I would give it a shot. He’s fast hard on pucks and has great vision.

Please take a look at all comparables and judge them based on elc’s... not a hot streak that lasted half a season.. if they want more money and longer term they will be moved for cheaper elc’s. this agm has more to do with throwing rookie Dmen to the wolves than the forward lines.

I know your still salty about your Matthews Trade getting shot down but you don’t have to drag out your bitter attitude into other agm’s .
