Dont trade Orlov. It sucks being eliminated I know but you guys won last year. You will make it back to the playoffs next year and be a juggernaut.

Carolina were the better team for most of this series, they won or were within a goal (excluding Empty netters) apart from game 6. Carolina were just better, something needs to change, although it doesn't need to be so drastic, while Orlov did look like an elephant on skates, he is still one of the better D man in Washington. Niskanen needs to go, he needs to go somewhere, and he needs to go ASAP because he hurts Washington...

Orlov and Niskanen were horrible all season and even worse in the playoffs, they should be moved while they still have value to open up our d core for the young players.

Absolutely not. Orlov is a stud. Nisk has declined a lot

Niskanen: 0.47 p1/60, -2.62 rel CF%, -11.42 rel GF%, -11.02 xG+/-, -3.81 rel xGF%, 12% on ice O threat, +5% off ice O threat, +8% D threat on ice

Orlov: 0.52 p1/60, -0.57 rel CF%, -9.94 rel GF%, -11.23 xG+/-, -3.03 re xGF%, -8% on ice O threat, +4% off ice O threat, +8% on ice D threat.

TL;DR they suck

They also are facing the strongest opponents on the other team. Orlov is fine and trading him for a 4th hardly solves more issue than it creates

It doesn’t matter if they face tough comp they still suck when they’re playing.

I’ll just agree to disagree. I’ll agree nisk has lost a step but disagree orlov isn’t good. I think he has great skill and if paired with Carlson next season will be amazing

Siegs or Kempny would be a much better fit with JC imo. Plus keeping Orlov creates a logjam in the d core depth chart and I think its time for LuJo to become an NHLer.

Lujo is an above average ahl player. Djoo would be an easier out
