Leafs shed 1m or less in your proposed trade. The upgrade from zaitsev to larsson doesn’t warrant giving up two talented forwards. I don’t think the trade is completely bad. I was not very impressed with larsson this season though.

See I looked at it as Larsson has had a rough year but he will bounce back and can be the defensive minded but mobile partner Rielly needs, but I think you undervalue Kassian and how he would improve the Leafs as he brings speed and physicality the first something the Leafs have but I think they could have used Kassian in the Boston series over Connor Brown for sure. Maybe Brown and Kadri for Larsson and a 2nd? I really like Kassian as most Oiler fans do and wasn't impressed with Browns performance in the playoffs or Kadris

If they do somehow rid themselves of lucic, could they still afford to resign Barrie? And would they be that much better? Losing RNH doesn't help the secondary scoring issue.

Puljarvi for Foegele? I wouldn't not because of unfair value, but Foegele has started to bloom into something, and I would like to find out what that is while he's wearing red

Devils decline. Lucic is god awful, his contract is a year longer than Cory’s, and the devils don’t have cap problems like the mismanaged oilers.

Zero chance NJ make that trade. Only way I can see anyone takes Lucic on is along with McDavid or Draisaitl.

Kadri and brown for larsson seams fair. No need for a 2nd. Maybe they trade picks. 4th for a third.

Foegele has shined in the playoffs so Carolina would say no.
We know what we have with him, so no need for Pool Party

I figure the Oilers add a second to offset the extra year, Lucic will actually play in the NHL tho for a couple years the biggest issue is he costs so much. Schneider meanwhile may have ran his course

Barrie I figure around 7 million max. I think they would absolutely be better as Barrie is the right shot offensive defenceman we have needed for so long and he allows Bouchard to develop. I'm a big believer in Leon should be on his own line, I would also try trade a third for Vesey so if the above were all done (which I am not saying they all should be) you would have a top 6 of IDK- McDavid- Brown and Vesey-Draisaital-Chiasson, Kadri to play the third line

Cory played amazing the last month of the season and is a good mentor for Blackwood. The only reason I would want Lucic is for some size and grit with the Devils roster having a good amount of smaller sized players, but there are cheaper options for this. Devils do not have a cap issue, Oilers do, which makes them poor trade partners, unless Oilers are ready to move a prospect back, over a pick. Devils are getting close to winning mode as Shero has said.

Goat would be the best bet.
Don't think he is developing as quickly as we hoped
