OEL trade + Jones offer sheet

Created by: CollarMcbroken
Team: 2016-17 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 7, 2016
Published: Jun. 7, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not a fan of Arizona at all but here is my Idea

Oiler trade Brings 1st line centre and Solid prospect in Reinhart/Musil+ 4th pick+2017 1st round pick
-Draft Arizona born Tkachuk(4th) and Chychrun(7th) and return them to junior

Seth Jones offer sheet makes sense.
-Jackets have cap trouble and will struggle to dump salary to make room for Jones. It's a complete shot in the dark but @ $5,478,986 + heavy signing bonus costing only the 2017 1st and 3rd it may get Arizona quite a steal.

Sami Vatenen trade
Ducks don't need players back as moving Vatenen is more to avoid 5mil+/year contract and make room for NHL ready Theodore and Mantour on the roster.
20th and 67th may start the coversation but Yotes can add 2nd rounder from Connor Bleackley compensation to deal aswell?

I agree, little to much for OEL, not gonna get the 4th OA for him and next years 1st. Team looks good defensively but offense will fall short during the season, need another winger or two for depth

Not a chance an offer sheet goes through for jones. Jarmo will do whatever it takes to keep him

I am going to say it again. Jarmo will match any offer for Jones. The only way the Jackets don't match is if it is in realm of 8 mil. Which would be four 1st round picks. Not good for Arizona because even with Jones they aren't a very good team.

As an Arizona fan what part of going the way of analytics and not trading OEL did you miss?

The reason the Oilers don't make deal is OEL is a UFA in three years just when they are getting good.
Yes the CBJ would match, but I still wonder if he that good to get more than 5m a year.

ARI can't offer sheet. Missing their own 3rd in 2017.

*Condition: 2017 ARI 3 can be a 2016 4th round pick. Pick is conditional on Arizona acquiring a 2016 4th round pick. Arizona does not currently possess a 2016 4th, but if they acquire one, they can elect to send that pick to Philadelphia instead.
