Thank you very much for your comments.
I may need to add a little to some of the trades, but as you both said they are pretty close.
I hate the idea of trading Ullmark, Mittelstadt and Ristolainen, but getting Brodie, Maatta and Zeitsev gives the Sabres a solid defense, while Kadri adds toughness and with Nylander gives the Sabres secondary scoring.

Seems Reasonable,
maybe a little more for Brodie
a little less from Toronto (or maybe not) depends on if you see Zaitsev as a pure cap dump or still having value
I don't quite understand the PiTT trade though, D is overcrowded as is
Thank you for you input.
As you can see, I borrowed the concept for the first 2 trades. A Flames fan traded Brodie to the Blues for Allen. Ullmark is younger, less expensive and may have a higher ceiling, but I added a 2nd as well.
I also borrowed the Leafs trade. Most Sabres' fan hated the trade, so I left it as it was. I see Zaitsev as a top pair with Dahlin, but IMO most other AG view him as a cap dump.
I presume Maatta is available and he is moderately better than Scandella. So this is a partial cap dump for Pittsburgh and a player upgrade for Buffalo

Wow, but we need another goaltender, UPL has just moved the operation and apparently until december will not be able to play, the defense looks controversial, but it is clearly not the worst that has been in recent years. And yes, Zaitsev will be a good partner for Dahlin, perhaps not the best, but he knows how to play in defense, despite all this talk about his bad contract.
Thank you for your comments. I agree about the GK, UPL most likely will not be ready, Betterall could probably pick up a UFA GK for nearly nothing. While I see this team as being in the playoff hunt for the entire season, I also see the team getting better in the future. Asplund and Olofsson who may certainly play in the NHL next year will get better as they learn to play in the NHL.
