That right side looks rough. May I interest you in a Jacob Trouba? For Myers and your 1st? Or if you take on Kulikov, I could do Kulikov and Trouba for Myers, low A-high B prospect, 2nd?

I get what you are saying...a top scorer like Tarasenko requires a top player, which Provorov is definitely, but the Blues will need to replace Pietrangelo on the right side. Dunn and Edmunson have the left side locked down and Bouwmeester gives them the third line vet. If the Blues want to move Edmunson with Tarasenko, I would agree with you that Provorov would then be in play.

I'm actually a Blues fan, and yeah, I'd love to take Trouba off a rival Jets team and place him on the Blues. Sorry, I'm afraid we probably can't do business now that the cat's out of the bag.

Rather have Frost,Ratcliffe and say Caufield at 11 over Tarasenko the way the team sits now. Still need a bit more patience as far as I’m concerned.

I can agree with you, but can you agree that this would be tempting?

Yeah I am not too salty about that series and honestly, we are not big rivals yet. The jets' biggest rivals are NSH and VGK. The jets just didn't show up in the games they lost. In game 1 and 2, our goaltending was not good enough. Game 5 was what I though was the worst period I have seen the jets play. Game 6 was the 2 worst periods I have ever seen the jets play ever. Heck, Game 6 was the worst game I have ever seen the jets play.

Hats off to the blues who played a good series but the jets would have won this series if goaltending was on point during the first 2 games OR if we showed up for the 3rd period of game 5 or all of game 6

For me not as much as others I’d imagine. I’m very high on Frost and I think Caufield is a great match for the team at 11. Not a knock on Tank mind you. I’m just of the be patient and stick to the plan mold.... like Hextall was.

Yeah, that game 5 third period was a back-breaker for the Jets. The game 6 effort showed it.

If we’re trading Ghost and looking at Tank I’d rather just try and build a deal directly with St Louis involving Ghost. I also wouldn’t move Ghost unless another top 4 defender is acquired in that deal or another using other assets.

I loved me some Ron Hextall with his battle ax. Boy was he a treat to watch in net years ago. It would have been really cool if he and Belfour would have squared off in a total bench brawl. I think both of those guys would have tried to kill and eat each other with a sprinkle of hot sauce.

Hextall attacking Chelios was my moment. The good old days

I don't think STL would be interested in Ghost. Dunn is their young, cheap offensively gifted LHD with wheels. Ghost would just be an expensive Dunn.

Anybody attacking Chelios made my day. That guy was a cheap shot artist for, what...19 years?

Ghost at what 4.25 per is hardly expensive. Last season aside he’s been very good for us overall.

It is not expensive when comparing him to vets. Dunn has two years of ELC still, so he makes under a million. Comparing him to Dunn, he's an expensive Dunn. You are correct though in saying 4.25 isn't a lot. I agree.

not to mention the bad trades(unfair) the contracts are pretty not realistic. The only 2 good contracts you got are Provy and Sanhiem. Konecny gets 4.5 mil for 5-6 seasons, Laughton gets probably a 2-3 for 2 mil so youre good with that. Hartman gets more than a mil. We wont sign all of those guys in our reserve list, and we wouldnt be signing Bailey and NAK to 3 year deals

I could certainly be off on the signing dollars.

Provorov. 5.5/6 per
Sanheim. 4.25 per
TK. 4.5 per
Laughton. 1.25 per

My 2 cents

I think our eventual highest paid defender isn’t yet on the roster.

No way. Ghost is terrible defensively. Ghost is top 4 D, Trouba is #1 D.
