I like Jordie Benn, but he's not getting 2.5, especially from the Habs. I think Kulak and Mete make good 2LD/3LD. Put Benn's 2.5 towards a 1LD.

I love Paul Byron and Andrew Shaw, but we can't afford both of them. One of them needs to be dealt. It hurts, I know, but it's 3.5ish Million we can save off the cap.

Trade Byron for draft picks (3.4M), save on the Benn and Talbot signings (3.25M), and add that all to the 850K of cap space you have: you have yourself 7+M$ to spend on a LHD to play with Shea Weber.

I wouldn’t it’s too much considering his injury issues. I would say a good prospect and a 2nd and 3rd. Cale fleury and a 2nd, and a 3rd would do it I think. Not a Columbus fan so I’m not sure but that seems accurate for a too 4 d with injury issues. A healthy muzzin got a 1st and a decent prospect for 2 years. I would say that would be the max for Murray.
