Ferland has been out the last 4 games too.
Those are some pretty big pieces to be missing on this team. But I think they still have enough talent to be the Islanders without them.

Svechnikov was in protocol, he couldn't play but he made the trip to Washington for game 7 so maybe, Ferland Svechnikov and Martinook were all getting extra skates after the games, and Martinook came back for game 6 and 7, we could see the full strength canes for the first time this playoffs (De Haan was injured to start)

Nino has a great game 7 under the radar. It wasn’t noticed by many, but he played a ton of shifts with Staal - they mixed things up and tried to get bigger bodies out there against Ovi’s line. It worked in the last half of the game.

I read that Svechnikov was wearing a facemask. I don't want to speculate but players don't usually wear a face mask for a concussion. So I'm not sure if there isn't more to the story there.
I don't know. Is he still wearing it? The punch he took was directly to the jaw. My first thought when he was out was broken jaw not concussion. But I don't know other than what I read.
