Description
I'm not saying I'd be against more moves but I would be happy if we started the season with this lineup.

-Scandella is a low risk pickup who I feel can be a solid partner for Petry, plus he's a hometown boy.

-FFS MB please stay away from Gardiner and Duchene.

-Give KK the responsibility of running one of the PP units next season. The kid has a wicked wrister and with some work could be the trigger man. Also has the vision to be the setup man if the shot isn't available making him the ideal candidate to turn that PP around as a sophomore.

-If a rookie earns a spot out of camp than it's only fair to play them like they did with KK but I have a feeling from MB's interviews and resignings the last few weeks that they'll all start in the AHL but that doesn't mean they won't get called up throughout the season if need be.

I think the Habs need to do something more than Scandella on the LD.

Possibly but what I assume you'd be suggesting would not be cheap to acquire. I like Scandella because he is a low risk option. Habs won't be contenders next season but I believe this lineup gets them into the playoffs without losing players that will make them contenders in 2-3 years.

If they earn it in camp then I assume they will make the team but if not it'll be their first year pro and there's no reason to rush them.

I disagree. The Habs are every bit the contenders that the Canes, Islanders and Bruins are this season, and that was with a relatively chaotic situation on LD. The Habs could give up this year's #15 for the right LD and not miss a beat.

I guess we'll agree to disagree.

I like bringing in Scandella. I don't think it's "THE" solution, but I think it's a step forward.

Am I still bitter about "the incident" on Price? You bet. But it's not just that, he's dirty and one of the reasons the Habs had such a turnaround this season was the character in the room and adding that P.O.S. would risk ruining that.
