This post... really? .. He's had 1 year on the job and done a fine job considering what he was given. This shouldn't even be a suggestion let alone worthy of a post. ... but for shiits and giggles.. Mark Hunter wink

It'd be a toss up between Palhal and JamiePo. Juice would be in the running too, but I think he's retired.

Although the GM gets the centre of attention, the Leafs have a lot of "experts" in executive roles. Those guys are as much to blame as for the seemingly bad decisions that Leafs have made in the past 8 months. The collection of these" great minds" doesn't seem to be successful.

No Juice is a working guy. Thanks for your support, though unfounded. I wish CapFriendly was available in the Ferguson.Burke. Nonis era. Maybe the Leafs wouldn't have all those crappy years...aka known as the "Dark Ages", if those ex GMs had read posts from fans. Maybe they would have gained some knowledge.

I'd keep Dubas. But I'm all for firing Babcock.

If you're firing Dubas after one season you might as well hire Chiarelli. Toronto fans...

My vote is for Keefe.

If it comes to that, I want to see Dubas double down. It could end up a fiery mess, but it would absolutely be Dubas's mess. If it went the other way, it would be his success..

I'm all for Keefe. He's felt pressure since he was player in junior. He can handle the pressure of an being NHL coach, even in Toronto. But there could be better coaches available. Just thinking you couldn't go wrong with Keefe.

You know, I said "if" and not "let's" right?

I just wanted to start a discussion, not get shot.

I can get on board with that.
However, he does have 0 nhl experience.

Anyone else to consider?

Not really. Leafs have gone through the retreads of Carlyle, Wilson even Quinn. Maybe it's time for new NHL voice.

i was hyped about the kid in summer....though nice, finally times of those dinosaurs that pushed us into "Dark Ages" ( btw @palhal my lawyer will contact you for using my term without permission ) are over. And then baaaaam....he just jumped into Bowman / Chiarelli shoes with Matthews 3M+ overpayment ( tho Bowman at least pulled 8y contracts on his duo and thats after two "consecutive" Stanleys and Chiarelli at least cemented both his guys at 8y, the contracts we mocked, but after 5 x 11,634 look like work of genius ). I wonder how he will dig himself out of this sh.t-pot he stirred.....without ruining a Team for next few years.

Seems like the curse of Useless GMs is getting on, they are just getting younger.

And for the Babcock.....i think Special teams were failing completelly, regular season and playoffs, not the Team in total, so fire those backups responsible for that part.

Your lawyer? my lawyer!!! I have used the "Dark Ages" well before July 2018, when a "Laudan come lately" arrived on the scene.happy Nice to know another Leaf fan uses the same term.

. I remember when Burke was hired by the Leafs and some hockey buddies were discussing his arrival. My impressions of him then (and IMO was I right) that he was media blow hard, and didn'think he had the work ethic to do the job as GM. We will never know, but Burke hired a bunch of high priced VPs, and I think their main job was to eat/drink at the ACC and tell Burke how brilliant he was.
My name for Burke is Brian "The Brain" Burke, after all he thinks he the smartest person in the world. Got the nick name from the pro wrestler Bobby, The Brain , Heenan.
