Love your sarcasm. Gudbranson is not worth a 4th, and Vegas can't afford the extra cap. This is atrocious.

What is gudbranson's worth? He can also go to any team, I just chose Vegas because I didn't know who to choose. What else is atrocious?

Gudbranson has increased his value quite a bit since joining Pittsburgh. A 4th for him is more than fair

Gudbranson isn't worth anything. Pittsburgh panicked when they traded for him because of injuries. He is a slow, overpaid defenseman. Nobody wants him. Miles Wood is a younger version of Hornqvist. That deal just makes New Jersey older. I can't see Nashville moving Ekholm when Subban is making 9 million per. They need to shed cap.

He played what? 20 games? Slow down, you'll see how he's very subpar.

Gudbranson is one dimensional, 20 games good games doesn't increase a players value, he's bad in his own end, doesn't bring a lot offensively, plays a slow game in a league where speed is rapidly increasing and has two years left getting paid double what he should probably be getting paid. A 4th would be an absolute gift for Gudbranson.

How would you change the deal with horny? You never know with Nashville, they are very bad on the powerplay and can still move Subban to another team for return as well.

I don't think any team would have an interest for him. He's in his 30s and isn't a star player. Agitators are easy to come by.

He is a nice package piece, teams need bruisers on the back end, I don't think he is at a point where you are paying to get rid of him but it is going to take a really good fit to get a 5th. 6 is kind of what I would be willing to give up. As a Flames fan a deal I would look at is:

Gudbranson
Jarry

for

Mid round pick or two

The contract is a stopping point though which makes the deal tougher. Brodie would need to be moved before this deal got put in place.

I wanted to use the 2nd as compensation for Kapanen, but after I traded for it, it would not let me just offer Kapanen a 4,000,000 contract (which I think is realistic). So I got it back and traded it to Toronto to be realistic and added Jarry for backup goalie issue for the Leafs and more incentive to give us the Kapanen rights.

Jarry would look pretty good in a Flames jersey, I must say.

Do you not like Hallander for a 2nd, as in the 2nd is an over payment? What is Hallanders worth and how would we get our 2nd round pick back in your eyes?

why would they trade a player they believe is capable of playing on the NHL level for a 2nd. Which has roughly a 23% chance of turning into a roster player?
They hit on that pick, there is no way they trade it for that.
