I do chuckle when people trade Kessel because of age/contract ($6.8M until 34yo) and then do something like give Zuccarello $7M until 37yo. ... and they don't even notice that they are doing it.

I don't have a problem with the Kadri trade as long as Toronto is willing to retain to make the salary swap even.

I didn't trade him cause of his age or his contract. I traded him to get assets, like the title suggests, and then signed Zucc to replace the hole Kessel would leave if he were traded to stay competetive... which again, the title suggests.
