It's not a bad idea but I don't see it happening. Personally, I'd prefer to look elsewhere for defense if that's the price for Hamilton.

???? HELLO Nolan Patrick has been extremely underwhelming and Hamilton has been the best productive offensive D man in 2019, WHY DO CAROLINA ADD? Make this maybe Koneckny, or Couturier, this makes no sense

HELLO Nolan Patrick is only 20 years old and has played 2 NHL seasons already. How many prospects don’t even make the NHL until they are 21/22?

Hamilton has put up goals over the past 2 years but he also is only controllable for 2 seasons. Patrick is controllable for much much longer.

The concept of this trade does not work.
