Description

I'm not sure if the Rangers would even want Hughes over Kakko or be willing to give the asking price to get him. If yes draft Knight with the Jets 1st rounder.

I signed a top 6 winger in Dzingel and drafted another top 6 winger in Kakko. Tanev is a solid penalty killer and top 5 league leader in hits to add some grit.

Gardiner is a solid 2nd pair LHD and Heed is a cheap but good RHD that could handle 2nd pair minutes if Santini needs more time to ripen. I think all around good D depth additions.

Finally I saved cap room to make additional moves if needed; and to sign Hall, Hischier and Blackwood next year. I believe this team is quite better with these additions, maybe good enough for Hall to stay.

According to reports, the Rangers have Kakko above Hughes on their board and with the Devils all but actually announcing that they're picking Hughes, I doubt they trade up

Huge overpayment for Agostino. Hope we don't sign Gardiner....too soft. Really like the Tanev signing, great pk guy, lots of speed and physical. I would like to see Kakko over Hughes.....but I'm in the minority on that one!
