Just spitballing ideas man. Was trying to think of a team with assets and cap. You have to admit Jones Werenski Letang would be deadly!!! Lol

Not sure on the value of the deal, but I could definitely see the Rangers inquiring on Malkin. I'm guessing the rags will be very busy this offseason.

NYR Pass Malkins on his downend of his career and chytil is part of the core of the rebuild which is in the same age range. DeAngelo was too good for nyr. The Young players that are avaliable to be moved are more like anderson, maybe howden, pionk, the winnipeg 1st maybe.

You have his as the 1C, keeping the team competitive and helping the kids along. Lot of Russians coming up.

Yes i agree with that but with nyr current roster the trade would have to look like (Anderson, either smith or shatty for cap issues, winnipeg 1st then strome or namestikov). Chytil is untouchable as kravtsov, shest, 2nd overall, miller and lindqvist.

Why would the Penguins trade 3 of their core players for prospects when they are still within the window? You do this, you are screwing Crosby.

Elliotte Friedman has said that there are rumours that Malkin will be moved. Or tried to be moved. Whether it’s a tactic to get more out of him next year is uncertain.
Also said that Kessel is most likely moved for cap reasons.

It's truly a shame if that ends up being the case because said cap issues would have never happened if the GM didn't decide to invest $7.25M in Johnson/Gudbranson. There's a few other bad cap decisions but those two are the most glaring.

As a Canuck fan, I thank Rutherford every damn day for taking Gudbranson and gifting us Pearson lol

Mario Lemieux said Malkin won't ever be getting traded and Kessel has a 23 team no trade list. Rumors are just rumors and the Pens won't be trading any core players within their conference, let alone their division.
