why even get McNabb when you could keep murphy...

Ganger is an AHLer

McNabb is cheaper and LHD. The EDM is all about clearing cap for next year. Ganger is a guy that can play on the forth line, but if he gets sent to the AHL he’s only on the team for 1 year.

Better yet, get both McNabb and Murphy and pass on Edler. There’s almost no chance leaves Vancouver, and even if he did we shouldn’t be the ones to sign him. McNabb and Murphy are two guys that could play in the top 4 if necessary (which they would likely do next year considering our lack of defenseman), but then be moved to the bottom pairing when Boqvist, Beaudin, and Mitchell become full time NHLers.

The Murphy for Gagner deal is bad, and doesn’t need to happen for cap reasons if we sign Dzingel or Ferland instead of Skinner for a couple million less.

You dont move a top 4 D for a 4th liner..
