Kerfoot is your best defensive forward and is at a top 6 level offensively why would they let him walk?

Best defensive forward is quite the stretch. That'd be Soderberg or Calvert. As to top 6 offensively, the kid literally never shoots. There could be a wide open net and he'll opt to pass it. If you can put the proper talent around him, sure he looks like a mid-6 forward, but I think he's more of a poor man's top 6 forward. Still wouldn't let him walk, but I think they can do better in the top 6.

Hed be a great 3C but hes easily your best defensive forward if you look at the basic and advanced stats

Fair enough. I'm mostly basing my take off watching him. He's no PK specialist, maybe he can learn though? It'd be difficult to decide between him and Soderberg at 3C, purely because of Soda's value as a PK guy. Imagine Sakic will go with Kerfoot in the end though. I'd rather see Jost in the top 6. You put talent around him, and I think he can do much more than he's shown so far.

Kerfoot isn't defensively sound at all, watch how many times the guy gives up the puck in the neutral and offensive zones, if he was defensively gifted wouldnt he be on the PK? Soderberg, calvert, bourque, neito, then landeskog... kerfoot is in my opinion a great disappointment

Let Kerfoot walk? lol you watch the Avs at all? He’s talented enough to play alongside Landeskog-MacKinnon for the past 2 months.

You also overpaid Kamanev, Greer and Toninato.

No chance Cozens is ready to be the 2nd liner in year 1.
No chance Bowers and Kaut are ready to be everyday 3rd liners.

You must not watch games. Kerfoot is terrible and has inflated points from that top line. He is bottom 6 material. Check out his numbers off of that line. Its atrocious. But he would go to arbitration and get 4-4.5 and that case, I am saying he would walk. If you could keep him in a 3x3M, I would consider that. Oh and the idea he is our best defensive forward, that is the stupidest thought in a long long time. Soda, Landy and Calvert are all better by a mile.

I have Kaut and Bowers as 4th liners. I have 15 forwards up there, not 12. They cant be any worse than Ghetto and Borque so I am just looking for some new blood on the line that will all be low $ contracts. I dont want to see Ghetto or Borque resigned under any circumstances. Greer/Toninato/Kamenev are all coming off their ELCs. They will get some sort of raise. Maybe Kamenev is a stretch by 500K.

Cozens year 1 is a stretch I agree. Maybe a bit of wishful thinking as my heart has been set on a Hughes/Kappo slot in there before those lottery dreams were smashed.

Open your eyes bud. Where in my message did I ever make the statement Kerfoot was our best defensive forward? Lol and sodas played like dog**** for 3 weeks now, you really haven’t been watching any games.

Toninato/ Greer really aren’t much better than Bourque/Ghetto, they are all fringe fourth liners at best

Others said Kerfoot was good... Not you.

Also, read the board better, Toninato and Greer the 5th line (scratches/callups)
