This cannot be a serious offer for Malkin.

Little thing called the salary cap and it looks like you're a couple hundred thousand over it.

Lias Andersson was a 6th overall pick in 2017. Lindgren will be a shutdown middle pair guy. And Pittsburgh gets 2 1st. Doesn't seem underwhelming to me.

It's not too bad I think. There have been a lot worse moves than this here lately.

Common trend on this site I feel is people thinking that teams automatically get absolute hauls on certain players. Didn't think the Malkin proposal was far off at all

I think this is a realistic offer. Malkin does have a $9M+ cap hit and only 3 years left.

Pretty sure 1st choice for Malkin and Bread are NYR and vice versa. Wouldn't be shocked at all.

"Elliotte Friedman reported if Malkin becomes available, NYR will be interested"

Thank you, Captain Obvious (Friedman, not NYRangers2716). And here's another news flash: "If Brett Pesce becomes available, the Edmonton Oilers will be interested."

Kreider is a winger, And the last thing Winnipeg needs is more wingers. And no way Trouba signs for any thing less then $7 million per minimal. And that Malkin deal isn't close. And i doubt Malkin would waive his NMC for the NYR.

But he did say that he doesnt think they want a rebuild package if they do a Malkin move, they want to load up and go for it as many times as they can with Crosby still on the roster. They would want impact guys now vs a futures package

Zibanejad would have to go as part of a deal IMO based on Friedman saying that

Pittsburgh isn’t interested in trading malkin. Even if it were true, they aren’t trading them to a divisional team

There were two specific teams mentioned, NYR and Florida. FWIW

Winnipeg might move Ehlers this offseason so he would likely be his replacement. Also, Friedman said that Malkin likely would waive for Florida and NYR. So its very possible

I'm not even sure (age, contract, point production that I would even trade Mika straight up for Malkin. Might sound crazy but Mika is an elite player with an elite skillset that was really displayed this season
