    Not bad, but I don't think the Ducks deal Vatanen for Pouliot. If their salary hit is similar Ducks would be better off keeping Vatanen in my opinion. I'd rather they try and get your 1st round pick somehow (wishful thinking I know) and use the money saved on Vatanen to resign Perron.

    Pouliot cant even come close to vatanen in value. Hes a declining forward who wouldnt even be top 6 in anaheim. vatanen would probably cost either hall or yakupov+1st rounder, and i dont think edmonton needs vatanen that bad.

    Your high AF if you think Vatenen has value even close Hall. Vatenen is an undersized powerplay specialist that plays a 4/5 even strength defencemen minutes. I'm not knocking him but he's completely unproven as a top tier defencemen. Yak + a 2nd rounder at most.

    and you're over valuing Yakapov!!! No chance he fetches Vatanen without that 1st rnd pick. Yak's value has never been lower for many reasons. Injured 3 out of 4 years in the league and misses about 20 games a season. Has never put up more than 33 pts even when he played 81 games (maybe not his fault as he's been poorly used sure but still). He ASKED FOR a trade request which almost always puts the GM in a weaker position when negotiating and finally young stud defenceman (even if unproven) are impossible to come by for cheap! See Seth Jones for Ryan Johansson for similar issues

    The Vatanen trade doesn't even matter. It wouldn't go through as is and would need more assets from Edmonton. The bigger issue comes from the regret you will have for the Lucic and Demers deals. Yikes... Your going to have a hard time resigning guys. Good luck with McDavid who will be looking for $6M+ at that point.

    Why does every Oil fan have Pouliot in a deal for Vatanen? Use your brains a little people. That trade rumor in no way shape or form was for Vats. If there was any truth there at all it would be for Despres, and under performing dmen for them. That trade would be simply about swapping team needs and contracts. Despres is an upgrade on Gryba, Poo gives them an option on the top line and free's cap on defense.

    Vatanen lolololollolollololololollolloollloll. That would be like Edm trading Klefbom for Cody Hodgson. What a joke
