Everything about your Bennett dealings is bad.

Trading Hornqvist, Jarry, and a 4th for his RFA rights is mind boggling. Signing him for $3.75x3 is just as bad.

How so? Hornqvist, Jarry, and a 4th for his RFA rights is horribly in Calgary favor. If Calgary is not planning to resign him, his rights could be had for a 3rd if not that 4th alone. Calgary AGMs here are signing him for an average of under/about $2.5M per. You are giving him 50% over what the fans of his team think that he is worth, and that is after an amazingly lopsided trade. How so...

whole thing is nonsense.
They aren't trading Almeida, less than six months from signing him with him never even putting on a jersey.
treating young players that way is a sure fire way to make sure you can't sign a college free agent or undrafted player ever again.

It's not horribly in Calgary's favour.

Hornqvist holds a burden of a contract that's only going to get worse as it progresses. Shedding his cap hit is a win in itself

No, it really isnt, especially when you are going to turn around and give Bennett $3.75M.

Hornqvist's "skills" won't deminish the way a skill player's "skills" will. Teams would trade for Hornqvist. But that is a different argument.

Bennett is 22 and plays a similar game to Hornqvist and by trading making this trade, the Pens shed some cap, how is this horribly in Calgary's favour again?

Because it is a horribly one sided trade. Bennett is not Hornqvist, never will be. Hornqvist is not bad, his contract is not a "burden", and he does not need to be dumped, at all. (Yes, the Pens need to move out some salary but that does not mean that you make a bad deal) Trading Hornqvist, Jarry and a 4th for Bennett's rights is insane, insane, considering his rights could potentially be gotten for the 4th alone. Then, signing Bennett to $3.75 is stupid, potentially worse than Jack Johnson stupid and we all know how people love to cry about that contract.

What part don't you understand?

Hörnqvist at around 5 mil for the next few years is not a good contract, he has concussion history & couldn’t stay in our top 6 last year, he’s went through extended periods of time without a goal, Bennett contract may be a lil more high than what he will get but it isn’t far off look at Bryan rusts contract very similar. Not to mention Bennett is a former top 5 pick a few years ago, put him on a line w Sid and geno and watch his game grow

Maybe you need to look at some Calgary AGMs done by people that are fans of the team Bennett plays for. Look at the last 20 or so. Get a little reality in you Bennett view.

It's a bad trade and a bad contract.

Not as bad as you think, come back when you see what Bennett signs for

I'll go with my opinion, and the opinions of all of the Calgary fans on here, over your misguided view. Does he play well for you on PlayStation? Yeah... ok.
