Edmonton probably isn't going to trade Klefbom.

Flip the 2nd rd pick on the Shaw trade.

You should keep Drouin if you think that highly of him.

Past two seasons:
- Saad: 162 GP, 82 PTS, 0.51 PPG @ cap hit of $6M
- Shaw: 114 GP, 67 PTS, 0.59 PPG @ cap hit of $3.9M

Shaw has a better point per game average while playing two minutes less per game. Shaw was pretty much unhealthy for the entire season in 2017-18 and he has still been better than Saad over the past two years.

Last season:
- Saad: 80 GP, 47 PTS, 0.59 PPG, 17:41 ATOI
- Shaw: 63 GP, 47 PTS, 0.75 PPG, 15:55 ATOI

You two are clueless.

You're forgetting to look at all of the roles that Saad fills on a team and the speed he brings. He's a bigger guy that can create more space on the ice and doesn't take stupid penalties.

Saad also has a vastly better relative Corsi-difference percentage (5.1%) than Shaw (1.4%) this past season (not to mention Saad achieved this while being on a Corsi-deprived Chicago team).

You should really consider all facets of the argument before calling people clueless, because you can make yourself look like an ass.

Corsi this Corsi that. At the end of the day Saad has been bad for the last two years, where as Shaw is coming off a career season. The production shows this, corsi is essentially +/- for shots.

Shaw doesn't take bad penalties anymore, and while you can argue Saad is bigger and faster, shaw is a bigger physical presence on the ice anyways.

The point is shaw does all this while providing his respective team with an additional $2.1M in cap space vs. Saad.

It's ironic because both of you clearly didn't consider all facets of the arguement before saying "Chicago laughs in your face" and "flip the 2nd round pick around". That's why I acted like an ass.. i got that impression from both of you. Next time actually come up with a supporting arguement for your comments if you want to give the thread starter some feedback.
