See if Edmonton could trade sekara or Russell with a pick for a upgrade in defense as well. But i would start with this. Possibly if needed add a draft pick in the trade with Winnipeg

Winnipeg needs to drop salary and Jesse played with laine and they did great together. I would probably add a 2nd or 3rd pick as well. Safin is up amd coming player as well. Could be a very good player in the future

Yes they need to shed cap but they won't move a guy who they've signed to a 7 year contract.

They have many other areas from which they can shed cap
