As a Hawks fan...I'd do this. You might be over valuing Perlini considering you gave him $2.125M, but I'd do it. This goes a long way to solving their defensive issues.

I don't think WPG would do this. They would want a forward with 40+ points along with the 1st

Sounds good! Do you think Perlini is just a 1.5 million dollar player for now then?

As a Hawks fan as well, I do this. Perlini was streaky all season and was health scratched multiple times. Trouba would be a big help for the Hawks back end.

At first I was going to do Ian Mitchell and Perlini, but Ian Mitchell is very good so I don’t think they would get rid of him.

I would maybe do a 3 team trade and trade away Mitchell to WPG and somehow have another team give a late 1st to WPG (I.e Colorado, Buffalo, Carolina, and Boston) I'd do COL as they already #4 in the draft.

To WPG: Ian Mitchell and COL 1st
To COL: Brendan Perlini or maybe another FW

I think Chicago gets away with highway robbery on this one so of course we do this... perhaps take Murphy or some other forward back in addition.

Would have to be a 1st, Perlini and one of Chicago's many defense prospects for Trouba.

laugh laugh Trouba isn't signing no long term deal with the Hawks, He wants to play in the East. He'll come home to Detroit before he signs with a team that's trending down.

Trouba wants to play in the East not West, Fat chance of him signing long term with Chicago.

Guess what, by the time Trouba becomes a UFA in 20-21 DET might be in the West. So good luck to you

Chicago is the closest thing to the East within the West. At one time you know Detroit was in the West too in the same division as Chicago

I know. He thinks that Trouba will only go to the Wings or 4 other teams and that no one can convince him to stay in their city
