i think that acquiring a player like Hayes would signal an intent to push for a Cup over the next three, or four, seasons. With that in mind, I have the following thoughts:
Hayes may cost you more than $6,100,000 AAV; I think $6,500,000 would be reasonable, given his career stats, and where he is at in his career. However, the UFA market has a tendency to result in over-payments.
Tkachuck is coming off his ELC, the qualifying offer should be determined by whether, or not, the Flames intend to take a serious run at a cup in the next couple of years. Cap space would be available for UFA's and trade deadline additions, if he could be bridged over the next two seasons at a lower salary. After that contract he will have arbitration rights, but if he continues to be what we all think he will be, the Flames can feel good about avoiding arbitration and making Tkachuk a very rich young man with a full 8-year term on his contract.
I don't see either Montreal or NRY agreeing to the terms you propose, and I suspect Florida wouldn't either. Brodie is a very good player, but he is not worth Shaw, Evans, and a 2nd round pick. The Rangers may be enjoying an embarrassment of riches when it comes to their young goaltenders, and they know that. Jankowski is a very nice asset, but I seriously doubt the Rangers agree to swap the draft picks unless they are moving up in the order. Most teams in the NHL will recognize that the Rangers may have two young Russians who look like shoe-ins for future NHL stardom, and Gorton will use this as leverage in any trade negotiation. I also doubt the Flames will get two picks in exchange for Frolik, but that 3rd round pick may be reasonable.
You may be underestimating what the Flames could get in return for Stone, particularly if they retain salary.
So, I suggest:
1. Offer Tkachuk 2 x $2,500,000, with the intent of extending the contract to 8 x $7,750,000 - $8,250,000 before July 1, 2022.
2. Offer Hayes 6 x $6,500,000. Pay a bit more, if doing so buys a contract without trade protection.
3. If you are going to trade Brodie, perhaps target a team like the Panthers. They may be interested in him if they think he will extend his contract. You might get a lesser player than Shaw, but I doubt you'd get him anyway. Florida may offer a better prospect or draft pick than what Montreal will give you.
4. Perhaps hang onto Jankowski, in the future you may really regret trading him away.
5. Notwithstanding my 4th point, if you really want Georgiev, be prepared to send Jankowski +.
