If they drafted right

Created by: Silkysmooth42

Description
Here's the deal... Everyone misses good players and takes the wrong players sometimes (like how the bruins got Pastrnak at 25, meaning 24 teams skipped him lol)... but there are a few picks that just SHOULD have happened logically... so here ya go
Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Barzal, Mathew
Additional Details:
With the 13th, 14th, and 15th pick, the bruins didn't go off the board taking Debrusk (who is beginning to show his skill and grit) and Zboril (who is still a decent defense prospect)... then they took Senyshyn, this was stupid considering how Barzal was still available and much better
NYI
  1. Senyshyn, Zach
Additional Details:
Again, I did not do Chabot over Zboril because zboril was projected to go right with Chabot, the bruins just saw a different kind of player...
2.
BOS
  1. Luukkonen, Ukko-Pekka
Additional Details:
As much as I like Studnicka and think he will be pretty good, it was a shame that they didn't take Luukkonen who only dropped passed the first round because he was a goalie... All the talk was about how good Luukkonen was going to be, the next great finish goalie...
BUF
  1. Studnicka, Jack
Additional Details:
Why do they need a goalie? The bruins only valid goaltending prospect at the time was Subban who was having a hard time getting used to NHL hockey, I mean they didn't even have Keyser yet either... It just made sense

Post from Mar 30th below (not always a logical choice B Silk as Barzal in the moment 2014/15 shows - not in hindsight):

MBarzal: "Seattle top prospect Barzal sustains knee injury" (news article November 19th, 2014).

MB was drafted June 2015...Prior to that though he had a slow rehab and a bit of a setback in his recovery. Needless to say, many teams not only didn't see him as much as they would have liked but they were reluctant to go for a small guy with a bum knee. Furthermore, MB's highest goal total in junior career = 27 (post-draft year)...nice but not exactly Gretz or Mario.

Bruins are the poster child for bad knees - Orr and Kluzak anyone? NO WONDER they passed....NEXT!!

Bruins did (are doing) fine and every team could fill a toilet roll w/ what "if's" when it comes to drafting!

One final point/fact - MB wouldn't have gotten the same chance down the middle in Beantown (#1C Bergy, 2C Krej then maybe 3C/4C MB...) as he's been given w/ NYI.

Studnicka>>>>>>luukkonen. Like not even close. How did you ever come up with this take.

Senyshyn sucks but I’d rather Connor, boeser, or Chabot over Barzal.

And instead, you'll just have to settle for watching your team in the conference final tonight....

Oh and they're favored to win the cup too. Tough.

Lol don't worry, I know they are fine, just wanted to make this to what what could have been... I like Barzal on the Islanders too!

Again, its a matter of projection as I said... come on man, you come on all of these posts and sometimes you are right and nice, but others you are just annoying and wrong

Ya, when stuff is reasonable. Honestly I thought this was a troll post. Studnicka is the bruins best prospect. That goalie is nothing. I wouldn’t trade studnicka for ukko and a first right now. They have a gem in studnicka.

I agree with not getting the chance at center, but they still drafted Freddy, JFK, and Stud... So that Clearly hasn't turned them away from a center... As far as the injury, you are right about that, but I guess the point is that Senyshyn wasn't even close to top 15, also Barzal had already dropped because of the injury so falling to 15 would make sense...

Believe me, hindsight is 20/20 as they say... but its not like Im saying they should have taken Pavelski in the 2nd round or something like that, I was genuinely surprised at the time that they didn't take Barzal because it was actually a high possibility
