Toronto trade is not good enough for NYR. Edmonton trade is awful for us.

Completely disagree. Georgiev is not as valuable as everyone seems to think he is. Buchnevich is a fine player. Puljujarvi has a ton of potential leaving EDM.

As for the Toronto deal, what are you expecting to get for Kreider that's better than Kapanen?

Kapanen is a great player and I’d love him as a return, I just can’t see Gorton trading Kreider for him alone, because playing Kapanen’s great numbers could be a byproduct of playing with Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Nylander, etc (not saying that it definitely is)

Would you rather just extend Kreider? No issue with that.

I’d like to get younger, but I definitely would not mind extending Kreider. I’d like to see Kreider have a really good start to the season (first month or two) and then when his value is sky-high we trade him, with an extension in place and get a large haul.
