I'm not so sure moving up 5 picks is worth taking on Seabrook's deal.. he's 34 with 5 years left on his deal and he's been declining for years. It'd be interesting, but I bet Chicago would have to retain to move that deal.

Chi has no reason to do this. Hawks have plenty of cap space and seabs is perfectly serviceable

Chara is 42 and will be playing for at least one more year. Chelios was 47 before every team gave up on him. Yes Seabrook will be 39 at the end of his contract, moving up to 3 OA could be a game maker for Buffalo. Chelios may be just the Defenseman who could help mentor Ristolainen, McCabe, Montour, and of course Dahlin. Yes the contract is bad, but what if he could be the on ice coach that those four players need, AND move up in the draft. BTW moving up 5 spots from 7th to 3rd is equivalent to the 29th OA.

I think I would take the deal as well.

I agree, that is why as a Sabres' fan, I make that trade. l move to a better pick and get an on ice coach.

this is for the GM game though haha I just wanted the extra cap space. Hawks draft 4th in the GM game and Sabres draft 7th. im very happy with this deal

Not looking to move him right now. He’s a very good 2C for me on an ELC. It would have to be Manson+
