Do you actually see MB using an offer sheet? Value seems fair but I doubt it actually happens

99% sure Point would stay in Tampa for a lesser price than sign for Montreal for 10m. And I'm not even talking taxes which are not much difference (despite what many think), but gotta think he would rather stay with very good team, a place his knows, rather than the out of playoffs Habs.

Still would think Tampa tries to Match it, and off load some players.

I agree with everyone on this: While it is possible MB uses an offer sheet, it's unlikely. I also think Point stays with Tampa, though if he does not get exactly what he wants there he is probably more inclined to sign one if offered. I'm not sure anyone is even offered an offer sheet this year for that matter, as there are not many teams that have both the cap space and the draft capital to make one happen. One of the few teams that do have both of those is Montreal. Again, I agree that it will not happen, but it is fun to play around here.

A more realistic approach may be to try to sign Matt Duchene (Without overpaying to get him), which is easier said then done. smile
