Dallas wouldn't trade him to a rival team, believe me if Blues could get him I would say do it, but Dallas is a rival team of even the Blues. That's very unrealistic for any team in the Central division to try for Esa Lindell.

Well, as Jim Montgomery (DAL coach) said: "Lindell is our best defensive defenseman, and the hardest to replace of all players."

So how much he costs: A LOT

You want Dal to create a big hole on D by adding $6MM cap hit, for a guy that could be gone in 2 years and will net you 10goals more than an UFA you can sign for a fraction of the cost, plus 2 longshot prospects. Doesn't sound very fair.

I would think Saad and a 1st would be a bare minimum, but Chicago cannot part with that 1st this year.... and I don't think Dallas is looking to wait until next season. i just dont see a fit.

Mitchells a pretty decorated A- prospect but I see your point. Maybe swap him for gus. Adds more value and backfills the hole on LD

A pre Panarin trade Saad might have worked. But he's lost his lustre.

Ferland probably gets more. GM's do stupid things for power forwards. Beleskey. Backes. Horton (everyone knew he was broken). Clarkson. Hell even ryane clowe
