Great team... But you ain't winning with those goalies...

Calgary is a complete team other than goaltending. Tough part is there's no real solid choices in goaltending out there. I like Rittich but I think y'all need a 1A goalie. No goalie is worth it in FA this offseason.

The Bob? Varlamov? Lehner? Kinkaid?

I for one am ok with the goaltending. Definitely need a better backup than Gillies but there are plenty of backup caliber goalies as an UFA. Rittich needs to be given the chance to be the de facto #1. Kippursoff was an unknown until he was given the reins. Rittich needs to be given the same opportunity.

Lehner probably signs for big money, Kinkaid is hot and cold, Bobrovsky might price himself out of Calgary (worth it), Varlamov wasn't even starting for Colorado in the playoffs. I like Rittich, but I think he needs a vet 1A with him. Not sure if that can be found for an affordable price in FA.

Beauty is having 3mil in cap space with this. Could easily find a competent 1A to go with Rittich in a tandem. Something to be said for getting Gillies in finally, we gave Rittich the opportunity and he ran with it, after a season of very similar numbers.
