This is only a good move for the hawks if they don’t max out to the cap ceiling and can live with just putting him on IR and not LTIR

My hate for Ryan Kesler outweighs my hate for Seabrooks contract. Id rather keep Seabs.

This helps the cap, but it would also be the grimiest deal in Blackhawks history. Trading a franchise legend for one of the most hated players in our history.

Why do people think that trading the absolute worst contracts in the sport for Kesler makes any sense for the ducks? Saw lucic for Kesler yesterday and now this. So dumb.

I think people make posts trading bad contracts because they dream of ridding their teams of them.

For Blackhawks fans, some still hold the notion that Seabrook's contract is a major reason why they have missed the playoffs the last two seasons. I'm not one of them. I think it's because their farm hasn't produced any top 4 D (at least any that Q liked) in several seasons, and then they had some tough things like Bickell's contract to trade and Kevin Hayes wishing to play on the East Coast.

This is true. I also like to throw ideas out and see what sticks, but that’s just me.
