NYR trades w Tor and Fla

Created by: Noah93
Team: 2019-20 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: May 14, 2019
Published: May 14, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Draft picks:
2: Kaapo Kakko
13: Arthur Kaliyev (Or any other prospect)
20: Moritz Seider

(Second round picks go for high cowling players)

Trades: think they’re all even value for most part and teams would be willing to make them happening due to their circumstances and situation their teams in.

Big trade with Toronto: lose 6 mill on Nylander, get a young prospect who could be your third line centre and replace Kadri and makes him tradeable which would free another 5 million. Vesey could be on your third or fourth line making a million good depth scorer and good on both ends. Get a cheap young defencemen who’s offence is great and RHD but would need to play with a defensive defencemen. Got a possible backup goalie prospect as well as a second round pick.

Yes I know kaliyev won’t play first year and keandre, nils and seider won’t either just put them there. Kaliyev would probably be replaced with a free agent or something.

Leave feedback thanks.

Don't think the leafs do that trade, they are in win now mode, they don't need prospects or picks in trades

Also, he's absolutely killing it at the worlds

Yeah I see that and very true but if they did this and got rid of kadri they could prob get Marner and keep kap and johnson.

Panthers decline, rather use those picks and trade for Trouba and sign him to an extension

Tough to say Anderson is a really good d prospect. I like the added picks on to it but idk how much of johnsons scoring is due to Matthews. I think it’s in the ball park but idk how attached Calgary is with him.

Heard Panarin said that Florida has no fans leading me to think he doesn’t want to go there a top 6 forward for them would be helpful. But fair enough

Love to have your source because I doubt that’s true. For a while now it’s been the Panthers or a New York team, but if the rumors that he and Bob want to sign together then it’s mostly the Panthers or Islanders. I don’t think the Rangers would push the King aside. Panthers have the upper hand, they have Dadonov (best friend) and Q (favorite coach). All depends on what Bread really wants.

Fair enough, but if the leafs can get Anderson with Johnsson and a couple picks, I think they could be fine with keeping Nylander

This rush to trade Kreider for more picks or other players, has become monotonous. As much as people want to declare some new Red Army in Blueshirt blue, two things are NOT going to happen:

1. Artemi Panarin is not coming to the New York Rangers. As much as I am a die-hard fan, certain things are evident. Florida can trade assets to clear cap space, get more of a haul back to free both cap and roster space for his arrival, than the Rangers can.

2. As easy as it would seem to dump Kreider as a rental, it is easier to move both Vesey and Namestnikov for lesser returns than Kreider's trade value would command, in terms of a return.

With a much deeper draft expected in '20, plus the expansion draft to follow, it is not smart to shed every asset. You will still need a team to ice every night. Plus, no matter picks you get and subsequent draftees, not everyone will play for either the Rangers, the Hartford Wolfpack, or otherwise. There are only 50 contracts an organization can carry at a time. Bear this in mind, as all of you continue to "imagine" this roster.

Actually yesterday on a livestream someone asked Panarin if Hefner like to play with dadanov in Florida and Panarin said Florida has no fans and rumours are rangers and Chicago are on top of the list so I think there’s a chance.

Kreider is so inconsistent and he’s gonna want a 7 mill contract for 6 years and rangers should stay away from that, he’s way to inconsistent he’s been hurt for the last two years and a small portion of the year before, it’s time to go young yes Ik you still need veterans but with two good drafts coming talent will be available. I love Kreider but Gorton didn’t seem to confident when ask if he was going to resign him.

Inconsistency in Kreider based upon what? This was a mostly healthy season from Kreider..the first since '15-'16. How does 28 goals on a rebuilding team equate to inconsistency? Gorton doesn't have to worry about Kreider, based on the seasons he's put together. I'm sorry, but it will be on Gorton to decide to re-sign him..not the other way around.

As for Panarin, I read that similar interview, and even if he has the Rangers and Hawks in mind, don't think for one second his agent isn't in his ear regarding Florida and playing for his old coach. They can just as easily move Dadanov and open the cap space up to make as much of an offer as possible for Panarin to join the Panthers. Do not underestimate GM Dave Tallon; as crafty as he was at getting Hoffman and moving Bjugstad, he can ship out more and sure up a Panarin grab to play alongside Barkov.
