Yeah. To be honest this post is light years away from realistic. I own that. The point of this post is to link to the post about Bryam I made in December.

I go back and forth between him and Cozens. To me Cozens fits a need, but CHI does go best available. And CAR had tons of D prospects...they're pretty far in the playoffs with a bright future.

I switch between Bryam and Turcotte for the record, but I’m leaning heavily torwards Bryam.

Cozens is definitely good, but with Toews locked up and Strome coming into his own (at least it appears so), I would go for more long term need, which Chicago doesn't really have anyone on the left side to take over for Keith. Byram fills that need for them.

In on Byram before all the draft guys started ranking 3rd overall, very nice.

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of the Blackhawks drafting Byram at 3. Odds are against all of their current D prospects becoming top pair at the NHL level as it is (as blasphemous as that is to some), and one can always trade d-men for a forward in a year or two if a logjam materializes.

Ideally Chiarelli has a new gig by then and will trade a future Hart Trophy winner for one of them.
