Nashville declines.

Where’s the motivation to take on Zatisevs contract for Buffalo???? You need to add an asset to make it worth taking on 5 years of Zatisev.

And I’d imagine you won’t in a deal where Zatisev is viewed as a positive asset and not the cap dump he’s become.

folks seem to think the the sabres are still gonna be bottom dwellers and a lottery team. not saying they'll make the playoffs next year, but they sure as hell wont be a lottery team. thatsy why they make stupid trades with the sabers on this website

I’d say it’s a combination of that and the general dillusion of some Leafs fans honestly. Some of these trade proposals are laughable. Cap dumps with no incentive, overvaluing of their players and undervaluing of other teams. Typical off-season fun.

I have! Most of them time it’s to get rid of bogo or when they get something buffalo actually needs at a fair price.

Nashville would be crazy to decline that trade.
Fabbro can replace Subban, they get rid of Subban and gain a 2C+ a 1st and if they didn't want Kadri he'd definitely have value so they could trade him for a good return, this trade also frees up $4.5 in cap space.

If Subban is available other teams will beat that offer. Kadri is a good player but also a head case. Can’t see Laviolette dealing with his crap. If I’m Nashville the conversation starts with Nylander anyway.

How's Laviolette been dealing with Subban's crap?lol
Idk if they'll be much better offers for a 30 year old dman who's coming off a season with some injuries and a $9 million dollar contract.

You tell me....Subban is on the block right. Perhaps Lavi doesn’t want to babysit grown men anymore. You really think Kadri would be any better in that regards. You think missing an entire playoff series for a bone head move would be tolerated?

Nylander for Subban is pretty close to me.

Toronto gets a guy who they hope can rebound.
Nashville gets a guy they hope can live up to the hype and contract.
Both teams assume certain risks.

Definitely not without moving some salary. Seems to me the cap issues should lighten after next season when Marleau etc come off. Correct assumption?
