Spezza wouldn't play on the PK so he's not ideal, but I like the idea.

I actually really like Spezza in this role, hes a shell of his former self but he still has hard to come by skills to offer. It was suggested for my team as well (leafs) but they had him taking too little, something like 2-2.5 mil should do it like you have done here.

Hawks play too fast for him. He can't play outside the bottom 3 at this point.
