Shaw had a great year, last off-season zero chance pens would’ve traded maatta for Shaw.

That being said I would have bet my left nut mlt wouldn’t trade subban for Weber and look what happened....or serg for drouin...... Maatta for Shaw isn’t terrible and it’s a similar cap hit. Shaw had a great year so I guess he’s currently the better player.

Ehlers is a dynamic top line winger that bring speedy zone entries and creates space draws penalties and apart from his past season which was shortened by injury has been a 60 point player on a great contract. You need to put forward more than a 19 year old and mid 2nd pick.
Winnipeg would be looking for a 2nd line centre or RHD in return
What happened to Ikonen btw. Injury? Looked like his numbers were decent but cut short
