Description
I love Phil but it is time to build Young around the Core of - 87 / 71 / 58 .

PIT / WPG ; TRADE #1 - The Trouba trade starts off the Summer of big moves - Schultzy has been great here and under-appreciated here but this is a move that is good for both teams.
- WPG- Rid of Trouba, who doesnt want to be there and a big contract LHD in Kuli who has under performed for a great #2 RHD to play behind Big Buff, a cheaper but longer contract in JJ ,
and a big 1st Rd pick in a great draft year.
- PIT- Get a #1 RHD-man - Trouba who extends Letang's career and makes PIT a much better Defense. Rid of the mistake of Johnson, and get Kuli - who is needed in next trade.

THE 3 TEAM TRADE #2 - PENS / COLORADO / MINNESOTA

PIT - Fiala is one of my fav players and he would be a 30+ goal scorer or a 60-70 point guy playing with Sid or Geno. The kid has crazy/insane skill and speed, and works
his sack off on every shift. Yah, he had a bad yr last yr being injured early w/ Nash then getting traded to MIN... But IMO he bounces back to put up numbers better than 17'-18'
Zadorov is a beast and he also didnt have a great yr but played better at end of yr and in playoffs... Plus having Big Z and Guddy on our D - I got 4 words for forwards entering
the zone "KEEP UR HEAD UP"... LOL.
Kahkonen is a good young goalie for depth in case Jarry (who i like) needs to be traded.

"TRADE BREAKDOWN"

PENS GET ;
L/W- K. Fiala - RFA
LHD- N. Zadorov - RFA
G- K. Kahkonen - $761,
COL - 2019 2nd Round Pick (COL)
COL - 2019 3rd Round Pick (OTT)

COLORADO GET ;
RW- P. Kessel - $6.8m
LD- N. Seeler - $725,

MINNESOTA GET ;
C/W- T. Jost - $885,
LHD- D. Kulikov - $4.33m

PIT / NJD TRADE #3 -
- NJD- Shero gets his 1st rd pick back in Maatta and knos how he is a good player that mite need a change. DeSmith is a very good #2 with
the trade Schnieder coming.
- PIT - I am a big fan of Zacha and think he would explode here w/ Pens and show his true potential being able to play with better wingers.
Zacha is about as perfect as a 3rd line C the Pens could get - he plays a hard rugged game, is great in own end, has the skill to put up points,
goes to net & dirty areas, and can also play wing if needed.

FREE- AGENT's -

LW/RW- M. Ferland #79 - 2yrs @ $4m Per - It is alot to give him but is exactly what this teams forward group needs - A guy that wont take no Sh*t
and will take it to the other team but still has enough skill to play on any line.

G- A. Nilsson #31 - 1yr @ $1.75m per - A huge #1 type goalie who could play 25-35 games and the same style being 6'-6" w/ the oft injured Murray
being 6'-4". I actually think Jarry would be just fine as the back-up but this gives us depth at Goalie (which GMJR loves)

C/LW- O. Lindberg - 1yr @ $1m per - A speedy skilled guy that is defensively responsible and can help on PK (more C depth)

LD- O. Fantenberg - 1yr @ $900, - A puck moving, fleet footed Dman that can play both sides - Perfect #7

    pass, Jost Zads, and 2nd/ Ott 3rd. Nope too rich to give up. No interest of Phil at that price. 1 step forward 2 steps back with that sort of trade

    this whole thing is a mess, just too much to go through. Here, I stopped trying to fix it after the first line but here is what I got.

    Too rich for a 90 point player? To a team that only has 1 line but a ton of Elite young NHLers, Prospects, and with 2- 1st rdrs to restock?

    a 32 year old player at the start of next season with only 3 years of his contract left...yes its too rich to give up 2 young pieces that fit with the team long term. Thats a short sighted move. Ill keep Jost and Zads for the next 5-6 years vs a few years of Kessel playing on the 2nd line hoping he can put up 60+ points when Soderberg is his C after this trade

    You move Jost you don't have a 2C. Not hard to figure this out chief. Kessel is on borrowed time and teams arent going to take bit chunks of their young roster for them

    Altho u have options chief, at 2C in Kerfoot, Kamenev, or with all the cap space yinz have. But its not hard to figure out that COL needs more than just 1 line son.

    Kerfoot played Wing for the last half of the season and Kamenev is the 4C. Avs have more than 1 line, they had a top 10 goal production in the league while being one if not the youngest roster. Growth of their kids and a UFA signing will help, not taking a 20 year old part of their top 6 in Jost and a their physical edge on the blue line in Zads.

    Kessel is great but all it does it great 2 holes by taking from their NHL roster. You arent getting 2 under 25 year old NHL players for Kessel, both who made big impacts for the Avs in the playoffs showing growth. in what world is that good business for a young upcoming team? Not happening my man

    If Avs did want to add Kessel. they arent touching their NHL roster to do it, thats the reality of any potential trade with the Avs
