Would've liked to get him on longer term, but considering his age this is understandable. He's a future bottom 6 forward so nothing too big here.

From watching him in the AHL vs the Marlies, he is not a guy you want to have to play against - you end up emphasizing the “grrrrr” in his name after awhile.

Good on the Caps for finding him with a late round lottery pick - he’s good a good pro career ahead of himself in the AHL and/or Europe and who knows, maybe he’ll crack a 4th line somewhere.

I'm surprised he settled for 700k when his ELC was 925k. He could have easily got 800k in my opinion.

Good signing - I could have seen a two year deal as well. Hopefully he picks it up offensively a little more next year. His speed is unreal though.
