I don't think trading Georgiev is a smart move at all considering the way he's playing, Lundqvist's age, uncertainty with Shesty. Value is good tho.

Mathias Emilio Pettersen and your 2020 2nd round pick would probaby be a better bet, but I think the NYR try to see what the have in Shestyorkin before moving Georgiev.

Side note, hold on to Kylington. Him and Rasmus Andersson will be a great pair someday.

at this point its about the same value I would say since a solid/depth dman is more preferable than a 2 goalie as it is right now. If it was 2-3 years ago i would have jumped on this deal and danced the Macarena , but ever since kylington have been a very promising dman since his debut in shl he seems to have stagnated and reached his potential , i know hes only 22 but he hasn't improved, while we have a shorter sample size in Georgiev hes looking like an absolute stud that's more than likely gonna be a nr1 somewhere sooner rather than later. So I would not swap a cookie vs a potentional l cookie with cream in it.

I actually think it's great value for both sides. But while waiting to see if Shestyorkin is ready, I would consider this deal at the Trade Deadline rather than this Offseason.

We have Vali to play with him though and as much as I like Kyl we won't have room for him unless we trade Gio which Tre won't do it. I would trade Gio in a heartbeat though
