It’s a 1y contract for NHL minimum (tho doubt he’ll be getting any of that) and a titch over AHL average salary. I saw the Bears a couple of times and never noticed Pinho tho he appeared in 72 games (garnering a whopping 8 points). A bit surprised the Caps use a NHL contract slot for him, but I know little. Be curious to hear what the actual pros of Pinho’s game are?

He's a solid defensive forward - a good 3rd/4th line option in Hershey with PK potential that could potentially translate to the NHL level as a 4th liner (after a couple more years of minor pro). He did score the series clincher in the 1st round for the Bears against the Sound Tigers for whatever that is worth.

NHL is changing. Can't develop wingers till they are 26 anymore, they can bring younger guys in. This is it for him. Last shot.
