In order of trades:
Easy no.
Easier no.
Easiest no.
No thank you.
No reason to abandon Sparks for nothing with his contract after only 6 bad games.
Don't know enough.
No.

The Signings in order:
gonna need another 2+ years on that Marner contract if they go that high, if you want a bridge it is in the low to mid 8's.
That might actually be a bit low, he has rejected 4@2.6 and 2@2.1 at the TDL.
Don't have the space to go long, and even if we did it'd be 6-7 years for that kind of aav.
Doubt Mac Goes that cheap, Also expecting Mac to pull a third vezina calibre season out of his ass at 36 is absurd.
No.

Nylander's contract was made with a small market team in mind (hence the Leafs paying 20 million right off the top) and rumor was Carolina and the Panthers were the 2 most interested teams in Willy when he was a hold out. Babcock needs role players with grit. The Canes would love to have another Kapanen jersey to sell, banking on his dad's legacy. Sparks is done, the Leafs need a goalie to play 20+ games successfully, that doesn't descript Sparks. Kadri is done, yes he has a good AVV but those 2 playoff seasons were team killers, as much as Nylander coming back after his hold out had killed the Leafs from out pointing Boston in the final 50 games. Trade the waiver wire bubble guys for late picks. Bring in the son of Clark to sell more jerseys.

1) Nylander's contract was made with a small market team in mind (hence the Leafs paying 20 million right off the top) and rumor was Carolina and the Panthers were the 2 most interested teams in Willy when he was a hold out.

2) Babcock needs role players with grit.

3)The Canes would love to have another Kapanen jersey to sell, banking on his dad's legacy.

4)Sparks is done, the Leafs need a goalie to play 20+ games successfully, that doesn't descript Sparks.

5)Kadri is done, yes he has a good AVV but those 2 playoff seasons were team killers,

6) as much as Nylander coming back after his hold out had killed the Leafs from out pointing Boston in the final 50 games.

7)Trade the waiver wire bubble guys for late picks.

8) Bring in the son of Clark to sell more jerseys.

Organized your response to keep this simpler:

1) Nylander's contract was done in a way to make it get signed. The signing bonuses are there because they negate the money he lost due to the hold out and time value of money. This is besides the point however as I was saying no to the trade itself. The Leafs are being fleeced here.

2) No.

3) Okay and? (sees that you added a trade that wasn't there when my 1st comment was made). You have a deal.

4) Sparks had 6 bad games. He stole games and certain periods for us (his problem seemed to be getting tired after being hung out to dry for 30+ mins). He has flashed starting potential at times, he is far from done and considering our cap crunch there is no reason not to give him another shot next season with his aav.

5) Dubas is not a reactionary GM. Kadri is the ace up the sleeve, and if you think the answer to the problem of him not being there at times is to ensure he is never there then I don't know what to tell you. Also the Leafs are getting FLEECED (much worse than the first time I used 'fleeced' BY FAR).

6) The Leafs were on a PDO bender at the start of the season (driven largely by the PP), Nylander coming back simply coincided with the ensuing crash, which we all knew was going to happen because Leafs lol. The Leafs were putting up average numbers at best without Nylander, and only adding Nylander had us generating the top offence in the league 5v5 (Tampa was buoyed by PP and OT/shootouts this year). After adding Nylander those average numbers turned into top 5 in the league all around, to move Nylander (especially at low value) would be criminally stupid.

7) Not those guys lol. Kaskisuo is 7-1 these playoffs putting up a .940sv% and Borgman is the more physical version of Rosen who has been derailed by injuries. Should he get healthy he could be a 3LD for us bringing that physical edge. Also the Marlies have the opposite problem as the Leafs. They have too many RD and too few LD, Borg is needed down there.

8) Do you want to be Edmonton? Cause thats how you get Edmonton!
