Shattenkirk is an offensive defenseman that sucks. Risto is a defenseman without an identity, that sucks. Trading one bad defenseman for another does nothing for the Rangers - I'd rather have Shattenkirk. Fast is better than Sheary and makes half of what Sheary does. And then you want Lias as a throw in - sure, he has been underwhelming, but you guys know that all too well and haven't given up (ie. Nylander).

The trade doesn't work - at the end of the day, you get Lias for nothing because the other 2 involved in the trade can be seen as a wash.

Risto is younger, and Im not a bandwagoner who cries about Risto so highly disagree. We Sabres fans dont give up on players right? Sheary and Fast are a wash, Sheary has the potential to produce much more with better line mates than Fast though, either way they both walk at the end of the year so cap means nothing to either team. Youre the only one to cry about this so far so take it up with your fandom not me

hardly a cry big shoots. there is no way you can prove that Sheary has the potential to produce more than Fast - Fast is a complete 2 way player and one that I hope the Rangers resign. He has played his entire career on the Rangers 3rd and 4th lines and put up respectable numbers.

not to mention, if Sheary has the potential to put up better numbers than Fast, why are you suggesting the trade? you talk yourself into circles - you just said Risto is younger, why are you trading him for Shattenkirk? figure it out guy, you are embarrassing.

Fair though i felt DeAngelo is not far off and he plays RD and can step in for the Leafs machine immediately

DeAngelos trade value is not as high as his transition game value (which he is beast at), he had his problems and teams know that very well. I would love him on Leafs, he would fit perfectly but not for Sandin. Sandin looks like Duncan Keith kinda player. Great in everything and extremely smart with and without the puck. He would be as good as Keith.
