Someone will pay Gardiner 6-6.5.

Have you not watched the playoffs? Why would St Louis need or want Quick. Binnington has been stellar.

Akil Thomas, Nikolai Prokhorkin, a first, second, and third? Those are really valuable assets for our rebuilding-ish time. We wouldn't even be getting young/valuable pieces back. what is the purpose of the St. Louis trade? Not sure if the Dustin Brown buyout makes sense. He's a leader and still produces, fan favorite. Wait for his contract term to be a year or two less, then maybe buyout? (that's my opinion on Brown) I would try to sign Gardiner for 2 years 6.8 per. He could struggle and that way little term is low risk. He probably wouldn't accept, so maybe more money but if he flops (like he did in the playoffs) then we won't get screwed by it.

Congratulations! You win the award for the worst trade proposal that I've seen since the playoffs started.
